LCSNSA - Laboratoire de Chimie des Substances Naturelles et des Sciences des Aliments (EA 2212) (natural substances and food science chemistry lab)

The research performed by the LCSNSA lab is focused around two main points of interest: the value of natural resources and food science. The chosen focus of the lab’s research work includes the active ingredients :

  • from plant or animal organisms (marine invertebrates) and from micro-organisms, for use in pharmacology
  • from plant-based oils (fresh fruit and vegetables), from sugar cane by-products (molasses) and from micro-organisms, for dietary and nutritional use
  • from essential oils, flavoring extracts and plant-based oils, for use in cosmetology
  • from microorganisms, for use in dyes
